Performance audiences are to be grouped
K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.  No Pre-K.

Two schools per day, 1-2 performances per school:

Example: School # 1

one 50 - minute performance for K-2 at 8:30 a.m.

 

--

one 50-60 minute performance for 3-5 at 10 a.m.

 

 

[2 hour time frame needed to get out of costume and wig, remove small stage set from first school, load it back in van, drive to second school, set up performance area again, have lunch, and get back into costume and wig]

School # 2

--

one 50-60 minute performance at 1 p.m.

 

--

one 50-60 minute performance at 2:15 p.m.

Two schools per day, 1 performance plus two classroom visits per school:

Example: School # 1

one 50-60 minute performance at 8:30 a.m., with two

 

 

30-minute follow-up visits with individual or grouped classes for further Q/A based on what the students learned during the performance.

School # 2

--

one 50-60 minute performance at 1 p.m. with two 30

 

 

follow-up visits as above.

Combination: two performances at School #1, performance and classroom visits at School # 2.

Teacher Workshops: After school sessions with the teachers on speaking the poetic   line with the emotions intended by the poet -- to enrich work on poetry in their classrooms.
