Emily and/or Sarah
precede all seminars 

Seminar with English students:

-- on Dickinson, her poetry and her life.  Based on the course
   taught by Connie Clark for the Connecticut Department of
   Education, these seminars can be as broadly structured or
   limited in focus as desired by the English Department.
-- on speaking the poetic line with the emotion intended by the
   poet/playwright.

Seminar with Theatre students:

-- on the craft of solo performance, playwriting for solo
   performance, and career building.
-- on characterization through alteration of voice and body.
-- for beginning actors, working the same scene while varying
   circumstances of time period, locale, social position and age
   of characters; then select among the variables for what works
   best for the actual scene's demands.
